Also, I updated the map, but I assume that you will move after basic.

I would like to congratulate Dr. Erica on finishing her first week in the military at a Fort in Texas. How is the drought treating you? I remember seeing it from the plane when I flew back to SF and it was creepy.

Yes, and I can't believe that 109 degree nonsense. Considering it's slim pickin's for jobs around here, I've made the south my Probably Gonna Happen Worst Case Scenario, and so it's gratifying to get some scoop...though Texas isn't exactly The South, it's more like...I don't know...Texas.
When I flew back to San Francisco a month ago, I was looking south and saw a bunch of brown farmland. There were some green circles in some areas, which I realized were just the spots that the water from the sprayer could reach, but other parts were all brown. It was really creepy.
Jamie, I hope it doesn't come to that.
Urs, I know what you mean -- it *is* creepy.
Erica, I hope you're hanging in there. You are way tougher than me, that's for sure.
The drought here is really bad. All the signs on the highway say Extreme Fire Danger! Also, Texas BBQ is terrible.
